وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف نے یونان میں بحری جہاز کے حادثے میں پاکستانیوں کی ہلاکت پر یوم سوگ کا اعلان کیا ہے۔


 ISLAMABAD (APP) - Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday announced the observance of a day of mourning on June 19 over the death of Pakistani nationals who lost their lives after a ship carrying migrants sank off the coast of Greece on June 14.

“Tomorrow, the national flag will fly on half-mast and special prayers would be offered for the deceased,” PM Office Media Wing said in a press statement issued in the Urdu language.

Moreover, according to another notification of the PM Office, the prime minister has constituted a high-level four-member committee to conduct an inquiry into the tragic incident.

“In an unfortunate incident on 14th June, 2023, a boat carrying migrants capsized off the coast of Greece resulting in the deaths of Pakistani/AJK nationals along with other nationals. The number of casualties are being still ascertained. The Prime Minister, while expressing his grief over the incident and also taking a serious note of it, has been pleased to constitute an Inquiry Committee,” the notification said.

The committee will be headed by its chairman Director National Police Bureau Ehsan Sadiq and Additional Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Africa) Javed Ahmad Umrani, DIG Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police Region Poonch Sardar Zaheer Ahmad and Joint Secretary Interior Division (FIA) Faisal Nisar Ch. as its members.

The Inquiry Committee would submit its report within one week.

According to the notification, the Inquiry Committee would ascertain facts of the Greece boat tragedy, identify loopholes and lapses in the legal/enforcement mechanism in Pakistan that exposed precious human lives to the vagaries of human trafficking in this particular case and similar incidents in the past.

The committee is tasked to analyze similar past incidents and action taken so far and to take stock of the existing legal framework, enforcement measures (in the country) and international coordination to prevent, control and punish human smuggling and to prepare short-and long-term recommendations (including legislation, enforcement measures, awareness campaigns and improvement of national and international coordination) to apprehend agents, facilitators, masterminds, rackets and for the eradication of the menace of human trafficking.

 اسلام آباد (اے پی پی) وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے 14 جون کو یونان کے ساحل پر تارکین وطن کو لے جانے والا بحری جہاز ڈوبنے سے جاں بحق ہونے والے پاکستانی شہریوں کی ہلاکت پر 19 جون کو یوم سوگ منانے کا اعلان کیا ہے۔پی ایم آفس میڈیا ونگ نے اردو زبان میں جاری ایک پریس بیان میں کہا کہ کل قومی پرچم سرنگوں رہے گا اور مرحوم کے ایصال ثواب کے لیے خصوصی دعا کی جائے گی۔علاوہ ازیں وزیراعظم آفس کے ایک اور نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق وزیراعظم نے افسوسناک واقعے کی تحقیقات کے لیے اعلیٰ سطح کی چار رکنی کمیٹی تشکیل دے دی ہے۔"14 جون، 2023 کو ایک بدقسمت واقعے میں، تارکین وطن کو لے جانے والی ایک کشتی یونان کے ساحل پر الٹ گئی جس کے نتیجے میں دیگر شہریوں کے ساتھ پاکستانی/اے جے کے شہری بھی ہلاک ہوئے۔ ہلاکتوں کی تعداد کا ابھی تک پتہ لگایا جا رہا ہے۔ وزیر اعظم نے واقعے پر اپنے دکھ کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے اور اس کا سنجیدگی سے نوٹس لیتے ہوئے ایک انکوائری کمیٹی تشکیل دینے پر خوشی کا اظہار کیا ہے۔کمیٹی کے سربراہ ڈائریکٹر نیشنل پولیس بیورو احسان صادق اور ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری وزارت خارجہ (افریقہ) جاوید احمد عمرانی، ڈی آئی جی آزاد جموں و کشمیر پولیس ریجن پونچھ سردار ظہیر احمد اور جوائنٹ سیکرٹری داخلہ ڈویژن (ایف آئی اے) فیصل نثار چوہدری ہوں گے۔ . اس کے ارکان کے طور پر.انکوائری کمیٹی ایک ہفتے میں اپنی رپورٹ پیش کرے گی۔نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق انکوائری کمیٹی یونان کشتی کے سانحے کے حقائق کا پتہ لگائے گی، پاکستان میں قانونی/انفورسمنٹ میکنزم میں خامیوں اور خامیوں کی نشاندہی کرے گی جنہوں نے اس مخصوص کیس میں انسانی اسمگلنگ اور ماضی میں ایسے ہی واقعات میں قیمتی انسانی جانوں کو بے نقاب کیا۔ .کمیٹی کو ماضی کے اسی طرح کے واقعات اور اب تک کی گئی کارروائیوں کا تجزیہ کرنے اور انسانی اسمگلنگ کی روک تھام، کنٹرول اور سزا کے لیے موجودہ قانونی ڈھانچہ، نفاذ کے اقدامات (ملک میں) اور بین الاقوامی کوآرڈینیشن کا جائزہ لینے کا کام سونپا گیا ہے اور مختصر اور طویل مدتی کارروائیوں کے لیے تیاری کرنا ہے۔ ایجنٹوں، سہولت کاروں، ماسٹر مائنڈز، ریکٹس کو پکڑنے اور انسانی اسمگلنگ کی لعنت کے خاتمے کے لیے مدتی سفارشات (بشمول قانون سازی، نفاذ کے اقدامات، آگاہی مہم اور قومی اور بین الاقوامی رابطہ کاری میں بہتری)۔
